Hi there, it’s Tim. I sing tenor, and here I am with my friend Joel who sings bass. The picture was taken in 2017 by Volti alto Rachel Rush, as the three of us explored Sacramento before heading to perform Kurt Rhode’s opera, ‘Death, With Interruptions,’ at UC Davis. We are standing in front of the California Capitol Building, back-to-back, arms folded, looking self-satisfied. We returned to our car to find a parking ticket. Since then, Joel and I have travelled a lot together. We’ve toured the Pacific Northwest, playing our original songs, of course with large crowds in Joel’s hometown of Eugene, Oregon. I spent New Years with the Chapmans this past January. We went around and shared highlights of our year, and mine was performing Path of Miracles with Volti and ODC in Grace Cathedral. I’m so grateful to Volti for these extraordinary moments in my life, and for connecting me to extraordinary people. Joel has become Volti’s unofficial social chair, and has brought us together in so many wonderful ways. While we’re all missing Joel, his buttery bass voice, and what his mom calls, “a theater-face,” we can be #alonetogether through his catalogue of #onetakewednesday – link @joelchapmanmusic – From folk to pop, these dozens of videos all have Joel’s unique charm and humor. Enjoy! #tbt #choirlove
